Classic Covers

This project presents a curated collection of book cover designs reimagining a selection of literary classics. Each cover combines a playful visual language with a minimal, modern aesthetic, distilling the essence of each story into clean, impactful compositions. The series demonstrates how thoughtful design can honour the legacy of classic literature while engaging contemporary audiences.

Although the selected works; A Room of One’s Own, Romeo and Juliet, Alice in Wonderland, and Little Women, differ widely in genre, era, and tone, each centers in part on a female protagonist. This unifying focus informed the design approach, emphasising themes of agency, curiosity, and resilience while tailoring the visual style to reflect the unique characters of each story.
